RWM Capital’s crop and seed production development project receives priority status

06.06.2022

On June 3, 2022, a decision was made at the Trans-Urals 2022 All-Russian Investment Forum to include the “Integrated project on development of crop farming in the Uchalinsky District of the Republic of Bashkortostan” by RWM Capital Investment Group and AGROIMPEX in the list of priority investment projects of the region.

“Investors have come to believe in the Republic, assembled a team from scratch, and implemented the first project. Today they are starting a new round — in the agricultural sector,” Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan — Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said at the Investment Hour. “Thanks to the new investment project, a large crop enterprise with a full production cycle will appear in the Trans-Urals region. The company will apply cutting-edge crop production, storage and processing technologies. The establishment of such an enterprise will stimulate the development of crop production in other parts of the Trans-Urals.”

“Money always gravitates towards places with the best conditions for investment. The fact that we are already implementing the second project in the agricultural sector of Bashkortostan shows that we have such conditions here,” Felix Blinov, CEO of RWM Capital Investment Group, noted.

RWM Capital and AGROIMPEX have previously implemented an investment project on the reconstruction and modernization of a grain elevator in the Uchalinsky District, which was recognized as a priority project of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2018. In February 2020, the reconstructed elevator was put into operation; now the agricultural enterprises of Uchalinsky District and neighboring areas are provided grain collection, drying and processing services, farmers are provided commodity and cash financing, and the project on seed production is being implemented. The elevator is capable of receiving and shipping 500 tons of grain daily and storing up to 30,000 tons.

The purpose of the new investment project is the development of crop and seed production activities in the Uchalinsky District of Bashkortostan. In particular, the investors plan to build a crop farm with 10,000 hectares of arable land, which will be cultivated using the best practices of intensive crop production. The seed production area will be developed to produce up to 6,000 tons of seed material of both cereals and oilseed crops, which will provide quality seeds to agricultural producers in the Trans-Urals region.

The project will create 36 new jobs. The estimated investment volume is 1.2 billion rubles.
