RWM Capital invests in a waste treatment facility in Krasnoyarsk

11.03.2020

RWM Capital investment group invests in the First Recycling Company, a waste treatment plant in Krasnoyarsk. It is planned that the enterprise will process plastic waste and PET using modern technologies.

"Having worked in Krasnoyarsk for a year, we have identified the existing problems in the region that hinder the formation of a modern system for solid waste management. We have developed a comprehensive vision for solving these issues and submitted a concession initiative for the construction of a high-tech waste sorting complex and an eco-technopark in the left-bank technological zone of Krasnoyarsk," says Felix Blinov, General Director of RWM Capital Investment Group. - At the moment we are discussing this issue with the Government of Krasnoyarsk Krai and are already forming a "base" of private entrepreneurs who are ready to develop the processing industry in Krasnoyarsk within the framework of the eco-technopark.

At the first stage, it is planned to start recycling the most prevalent waste - PET (bottles). Raw materials for recycling will come from the recycling points already existing in Krasnoyarsk as well as the containers for separate collection of plastic waste installed by the left-bank regional operator: in the squares, parks and apartment buildings.

The recycling process itself is environmentally neutral, as it does not involve chemical or thermal treatment. In the first year of operation, the First Recycling Company plans to bring up to 1,400 tons of waste to reuse, with a gradual expansion of the range of processed materials. As a result of this work, recyclable waste will be excluded from dumping, which will have a positive impact on the troublesome environmental situation in the Krai.
