Felix Blinov, Managing Director of RWM Capital Asset Management, participated in the 11th annual international conference of the Adam Smith Institute – Summit “Real Estate and Urban Development in Russia” and made a presentation ”Sale & Leaseback – New Opportunities for Russian Business”.
“When I received an invitation to make a presentation at the conference, I wondered what topic would be of interest to professional representatives of the real estate market participating in it, including investors, real estate owners, developers, brokers, consultants, - says Felix Blinov. – The issue of sale & leaseback, in my opinion, may be of interest to them as it touches upon topical changes at the real estate market and gives one of the possible solutions to such changes.”
The transaction with the company “Russian Fitness Group” was considered as an example of a sale & leaseback transaction. Presentation made by Mr. Blinov generated considerable interest among participants of the conference. He answered many questions among which were the following: applicability of this instrument at regional markets, the expected profitability of such projects, the object and the investor - which is of primary importance, the stage at which objects become part of the assets of a closed-end investment fund, does the managing company act as a co-investor in such projects and many other.
