RWM Capital Asset Management Decided its Winners in the Contest of Projects of HSE

RWM Capital Asset Management is a partner of Open Contest of Innovative Projects – 2013 held within the program Fund for Support of Innovative Ventures of National Research University – Higher School of Economics (NRU HSE) declares the winners in special nominations of the company.

FAAS project (Fundraising as a Service) became the winner in the nomination Easy Help 4 Your University.

“We were very interested in the project offered, - says Sergey Orlov, CEO of RWM Capital Asset Management. - FAAS project team, having analyzed the proven experience of western universities in fundraising, managed to offer an original solution for the problem existing in Russia – creation of online service, the essence of which is segmentation of graduates of a higher education institutions by groups using methods of big data analysis and generation of an individual plan of the company with each of the segments revealed.

“Methods of big data analysis are just picking up momentum, but the most experts are confident that they have a huge hidden potential for business development. This project presentation caught our interest and was highly appreciated not only by us but the rest members of the expert committee as well at the final meeting, which took place on October 30, 2013.

“Tendency for personification and individualization has already had a chance to demonstrate if efficiency in many areas of business and continuous its rapid development, involving each time new fields of application. Therefore, FAAS project decided to apply several advanced technologies at once to solve the problem of fundraising in Russia.

“I am sure that after the business plan quality improvement FAAS team will manage to change its idea into a scalable business and we in our turn will actively help the project team to implement the project.”

The project with the same name Be Better With University became the winner in the nomination Be Better With University. The team offered a platform on cooperation with graduates, earnings from which will be transferred to the endowment fund of the higher education institution. “Be Better With University project team offered to create an online platform, which will facilitate fundraising for social projects of the higher education institution (for example, programs for support of students from other towns, such as: buy a ticket home) and will simultaneously facilitate fundraising for endowment funds, - comments Sergey Orlov. - It is expected that the mechanism of the service gamification will provide high involvement of the audience into the projects, high level of feedback and recurrent participation in projects.

“It is very nice that Be Better With University project is aimed at resolution of several social problems at once. I am sure that many graduates will want to help their university in solving particular problems, for this reason this project stands a good chance to change into a functioning business.

On behalf of RWM Capital Asset Management and on my own behalf I thank all people who were interested in our nominations and offered their ideas to solve one of the most global problems of the present day system of higher education, in particular the problem of financing higher education institutions activities.

Many thanks to our partners NRU HSE. In cooperation with Higher School of Economics we will continue our work with young people, who became winners in the Contest. One of the awards for the winners is a certificate for 50-hour training on team leadership and a professional consultation on business plan development. Training services will be provided by experts from Higher School of Economics. I honestly believe that through joint efforts we will manage to help these young and talented teams to bring their ides to functioning projects.”
