RWM Capital took part in the largest all-Russian industry Forum "Priorities 2014: Computerization of Education and Healthcare in Russia” organized by GK COMNEWS on June 04, 2014 in Moscow.
Participants of the Forum shared experience and considered practical aspects of application of IT in education. In the framework of the Forum the hosts organized the “Business Contracts Exchange”, a unique interactive site for developing business relations between professional community members. The awarding ceremony of the prize winners of VI all-Russian Contest “Top10 IT-Projects in Public Sector. Educational and Medical Institutions” took place at the end of the event.
Natalia Barysheva, head of the endowment funds management program of RWM Capital, presented a report “Attracting Extra-budgetary Financing: Need for Computerization” in Section "Education & Training 2.0. Barriers and Growing Points of Computerization of Scientific and Educational Complex in Russia”.
“Matters and topics addressed at the Forum interest and concern many people, - says Natalia Barysheva. – Representatives of educational institutions from all regions of Russia are present here and they are able to communicate directly with developers and providers of software products. It is convenient for everyone.
We shared our experience in attracting extra-budgetary financing in order to increase competitive ability of educational institutions with the other participants of the Forum. Development of mechanisms of extra-budgetary financing of educational institutions directly depends on the level of computerization in general and application of advanced technologies of communication with the target audience. In our opinion, in order to increase the extra-budgetary financing share computerization of the system of communication with contact audiences of a higher school is required aimed at provision of bilateral efficient interaction with each of them. Based on the results of our research 60% of respondents are not satisfied with the quality and operation of data bases.
Computerization of communication activities of endowment funds is lagging behind as compared to the general level of computerization in higher schools. In our opinion, endowment funds present a unique site for implementation of new technologies for communication with graduates, partners and friends of a university. Taking into consideration the current level of limitation of resources of endowment funds application of new technologies for communication with graduates may become an ideal solution. I believe that subject to such pace of computerization of higher schools in the next 3-4 years the growth of endowment funds will also increase with application of IT in communication with graduates”.
