Felix Blinov: Industrial Parks are a New Segment of the Real Estate and Investment Market in Russia

Industrial parks in Russia are becoming a new large segment not only in the real estate market, but also in the investment market – this opinion was expressed by Felix Blinov, CEO of RWM Capital Investment Group and vice-president of the Russian Managers and Developers Guild (RGUD) at a RGUD conference in St. Petersburg. According to the speaker, the ideal model of an industrial park in Russia implies "implementation in a particular industry with high development potential, with a "center of attraction" in the form of a key corporation, a strong brand, accumulating the other residents around itself. Cooperation with leading industry-specific universities and the professional research community, state participation in the project, and the presence of a professional operator are needed.”

A potential participant in this market is a private investor, but today it is difficult to imagine it being proactively interested in investing in industrial parks.

"It is the task of professional investment management companies to build the right bridges for private investors to enter such projects through collective investment schemes, bond issues, etc.," explains Felix Blinov. – The task of the market is to provide for such an opportunity, especially now, when the issue of investments in any projects is quite acute.”
